THE FAIRVIEW FIRE

Mother nature is always biting at our heels, but we have come to understand, that through fire or flood, it is always our duty to adapt to whatever conditions are thrown at us.

But there's always that constant fear of the destruction that can be wrought by a single fire.

This years Fairview fire came too close for comfort, and reminded us that we have many battles ahead, to adapt to the changing climate.

But there are sustainable, regenerative, ecological and environmental practices of design, and engineering, some very new, and some very old, that can help us rise to those challenges.

Knowing that this piece of land could give back infinitely more, not just to us, but to our entire community, is what keeps us going.
